Recently, I had the opportunity to travel 6,000 miles to photograph Melanie and Emiliano's wedding outside of Buenos Aires. Given that I was born and raised in Argentina but had never been back for any wedding work, it was wonderful to be there and join two separate parts of my life. They planned a beautiful traditional Argentine wedding on an estancia (an Argentine ranch). I've now done wedding shoots in 9 different countries on 4 different continents - only 3 more to go. But I reckon I might have a hard time booking a wedding in Antarctica.
Congratulations Melanie and Emiliano!!
Melanie and her dad take a short trip in an antique car to arrive at the wedding. The wide open sky reminds me of driving through the Pampas (the Argentine Great Plains).

I really liked the shafts of light filtering in through the smoke as the cooks prepare the amazing asado we would later share.
The dog curiously peeking around the corner makes this photograph of Emiliano's exuberant kiss after the wedding.
The guests were treated to a series of traditional dances performed by this couple.
Despite being exhausted at the end of their long wedding day, Melanie and Emiliano wanted a few pictures at the beautiful 19th century mansion turned boutique hotel where they were spending the first night of their honeymoon. I like the quiet romance of this parting shot as they check into their hotel.

I love the picture of the cooks preparing the food. It really looks like a Caravaggio painting!

The filtered light on the cooks in 2nd image down is really beautiful, as is its overall color and atmosphere.
(BTW, shd I be using "TypeKey?")
