We wanted to offer a luxurious and sensual shoot for our clients, so we are very excited to announce our Pillowbook sessions! Each session will include:
- a session at a luxury boutique hotel:
- make-up by professional make-up artist
- a bottle of champagne
- an 8x8" Couture velvet covered "pillowbook" with a selection of the best images from the session
Photographers often refer to this type of photography as a "boudoir session". We didn't think that would be a proper description of what we are doing, so we are calling these the Pillowbook sessions. The tradition of the pillowbook originates in Japan during the 11th century as a book of poetry and thoughts kept by one's bedside. With this as our inspiration we seek to create a book of visual poetry celebrtaing your beauty.
The Pillowbook session is as much for you as it is for your other half. It’s about feeling sexy, sensual, strong, and beautiful. It is about celebrating the beauty of every woman, and having a fabulous time while we do that.
I just shot one of these last week at the very hip Hotel Allegro, and we had so much fun! Due to the private nature of this shoot I can only show you a few of my favorites that we got special permission to publish.
I think this is a great idea and a wonderful concept, love it! Great images too ;)
