Sam and Stefanie were married at Lincoln Park Presbyterian Church; the ceremony was intimate with music from acclaimed folk musicians, Taylor and Jake Armerding, adding to the atmosphere. The reception that followed at A New Leaf was so full of energy - aided in no small part by Stefanie and Sam's friends who flew in from Paris and all over the US. In a wonderfully unusual move, both the mother of the bride and groom gave toasts in addition to the best man and maid of honor. Stefanie's mom gave one of the most entertaining toasts I have ever heard (rivaled only by the toast she gave at Emily's wedding last year).
It is not unusual for us to work with a family more than once and it's always fun to work with them again. However, this wedding was a unique experience for us because we have previously worked with both Stefanie AND Sam's family; We photographed Sam's sister Nora's wedding in Minneapolis this past May, and Stefanie's sister, Emily's wedding last July. We have developed friendships with both these families, and felt truly honored to be a part of this wedding where these two wonderful families came together.
