We love it when when people contact us to photograph what is probably one of the happiest, most emotional events in life - a proposal. We know Matt from the Ivy Room (one of the most beautiful venues in Chicago!). We have worked with Matt and Donna, the fabulous team that runs the Ivy Room, on many occasions. We were very excited when he called us to ask if we would photograph his proposal. He picked a day; we did some location scouting, and after some discussion, the new bridge that connects Millenium Park to the Modern Wing was the set location.
There are of course some logistical problems to be solved with any location, and the one problem at this location were the people who would inevitably be walking on the bridge. After some thought, we asked Donna to stand at the bottom of the bridge and keep people from walking up while Matt proposed. All the planning paid off, and it worked out perfectly!
Here are a few of our favorites from this proposal.
ah! these are just beautiful. what a lucky couple to have these photographs. seriously perfect execution.

i'm loving all these proposal sessions you've done lately! i'm curious if the women ever find out that you are there or is it a secret the whole time??
