We're excited to finally be able to announce that we will be offering what we believe is the ultimate wedding photo proofing solution - the Apple iPad - standard for all of our new clients. To my knowledge we are the first studio in the country to offer include iPads as standard proofing in every package.
For over a year now I've been following the rumors suggesting that it was being developed, knowing that this would be the ideal medium to have our clients view and select their wedding photos. The high resolution full-color display combined with the ability to instantly load photos and quickly zoom to examine details, encased in a sleek, durable, and viable-everywhere case is exactly how we want you to be able to view your photos.
Online proofing is great in some respects, primarily because it allows you to easily show your pictures to a large number of people often separated by significant distances. However, as Nancy and I found out after our own wedding it can be quite tiresome and slow to look at 700+ photos on a website - even if you have a very fast computer and a blazing internet connection. It's even worse if you don't have those two elements. We naturally offered other proofing methods as well, but they each had their own drawbacks. Loose-leaf prints are nice, but a mess once the several hundred prints get out of order of covered in finger prints. To remedy these shortcomings we offered proof books but these could be bulky, and the photos often too small to really see all the detail you wanted. We think the Apple iPad overcomes all of these problems while remaining highly portable, sharable (if you can pry it out of your partner's hands), and a stunning way to view photos. Of course it will be yours to keep so you can use it as a digital photo frame (as well as all the other wonderful things it can do).
We hope that as time goes on more and more studios will make this the standard way to proof your wedding photography. It's time to say goodbye to those tiny, loose-leaf prints!
I LOVE this idea!
