My favorite part of being a wedding photographer is getting to witness and capture the emotions that surround a couple in love. Rarely are those emotions more purely expressed and evident than during a marriage proposal. So I'm grateful for forward-thinking people like Sameer who realize the importance of documenting this momentous occasion.
Madhuri, a producer for a major ad agency, has always loved Grand Central Station (I think the word she used was "obsessed"). After a lot of careful planning Sameer chose July 12 as the date, and arranged to fly me out there to photograph his proposal. He chose the date in part because it was the second day of Manhattanhenge (when the sun lines up perfectly with Manhattan's street grid), and in part because it was about a month earlier than Madhuri expected. As you'll see in the photos below the surprise was a total success.
I'll leave you know to enjoy the photos, but stay tuned for another post in the coming weeks with photos from their engagement session that we shot all around New York City.
These came out great!! Thanks so much! We are looking forward to the rest!
