After two days of celebrating their upcoming marriage (the Puja and then the following day a rehearsal dinner party at the Modern Wing) Pria and Clay finally celebrated their wedding with first a ceremony at 4th Presbyterian church and then a reception at the Chicago Illuminating Company. Their wedding was a big, elegant party that despite being a larger wedding, still felt rather intimate. Much of that I believe was due to Pria and Clay's special attention to each of their guests as well as the very well thought out design by Marina Birch of Birch Design studio (executed by Frost and Renee from Kehoe Designs. We'll be dedicating an entire post to their details with insight from Marina on how they developed and executed the design concept). Guests enjoyed cocktails in the tented courtyard at the Chicago Illuminating company after the ceremony, and later, guests moved into the parisian inspired room for a dinner filled with truly heartfelt, beautiful toasts. After much drinking of wine and eating incredible food (by the very talented Wendy Pashman from the Entertaining Company), Indigo beckoned guests back into the courtyard with fantastic live music. Later, their after-party, in the front room of the Chicago Illuminating Company kept things going until the wee hours of the morning.
Here are just a few of our favorite images from the day. A big thank you to Connie Miller of Studio Atticus who came out from Boston to shoot this wedding with us; a few of her images are featured below as well.
