Manya and Matt both share a deep passion for Orthodx Judaism, and this passion really shaped their wedding. As is traditional in Orthodox Judaism, they chose not to see each other for an entire week before their wedding ceremony. Before their climactic first meeting the Tisch and Bedeken took place. The Bedeken was particularly beautiful as it took place on the balcony at Venue SIX10 which overlooks Lake Michigan and Buckingham Fountain. After this, Manya and Matt met each other just outside the balcony amidst dancing and singing as everyone processed to the ceremony. Each part of the ceremony was carefully thought out by them, and while it was steeped in age old tradition, it was also quite personal for Matt and Manya.
Below are just a few of our favorite images from the evening. A big thank you to Erin Patrick who designed and coordinated this event along with Linda Alpert. Everything was flawless thanks to him. The band that they chose, Golem, was also so talented and incredibly fun; they added so much to the atmosphere of the wedding.
